I think Zuerlein has had back issues for the past 4-5 years. I believe this is the 2nd time he's been through rehab in the off-season following back surgery. He's had some groin issues over the years as well. I remember him being in excruciating pain when the Rams played in Seattle and Zuerlein missed what would have been a game winning 44-yard FG. He's had a lot of injuries and at 33, just doesn't have the leg strength he used to.
