I feel like at least some of the broncos players in the first quarter were starters. They certainly called von Miller's name several times. I would say if our third string was going against the broncos starters that speaks well for our third string and not much for the broncos.
Especially if that were the starting defense of the broncos there is no way I try to sneak Bryce Perkins past waivers. The man made a lot of good plays. Definitely a project but man I feel like the sky might be the limit with him.
There were several Broncos starters on the field Saturday evening.
I get why their coach plugged them in for a few series.. I probably would've let our starters get out there for 2 series but I'm not an NFL head coach.
I'm on board with McVay.
Don't play your projected starters in the preseason. It's been working under his regime so far and there is no need to change course.
