Rams backup QB John Wolford is on campus at Irvine today after last week's appendectomy. Seems to be doing great! Not sure how much he'll participate today but him already being back in time for the pre-practice lifting sessions seems positiv

Troy Reeder just locked and then tossed his DL opponent on gunner/coverage drills one on one during special teams period. Otis Anderson, Xavier Jones and, yes, long snapper Steven Wirtel all also drew praise from DeCamillis on their reps.

Lots of combos up front including Corbett and Shelton with first teamers at C. So nobody freak out lol let’s see what happens in actual live snaps here coming up.

Brian Allen getting some time at C with Corbett at right guard through at least portion of OL/DL drill work. Coaches trying different combos. Donald, Robinson and Floyd had good rush reps but in gap and blocking work (2 or 3 OL on 1 DL) Kevin Carberry was pleased with his group.

Real pretty throw and catch just now from Stafford to Jefferson downfield in one-on-ones.

Now they have switched back to Corbett for Stafford, which was the initial combo entering camp.

Brian Allen starts out the day taking snaps for Matthew Stafford at center in situational 11 on 11s, with Austin Corbett at right guard. Obviously this is a change from…the entire spring and camp up until about Saturday. So that’s pretty interesting!

Matthew Stafford flushed out to his opposite side, re-set his base and then launched one deeeeeeep downfield to Van Jefferson, who had gotten a few steps on two guys in the defensive backfield. Jefferson having an outstanding day.

Justin Lawler is having a good camp. Think he could have a real shot at backing up Floyd on that side. Other side seems firmly combo of Hollins, Okoronkwo and Lewis (latter DNP today)

Rookie corner Robert Rochell is back at practice and in pads today, about a week after his wrist surgery. Got a hard brace/cast for extra safety.

Kareem Orr just jumped onto Mars to break up a Hodges pass that was intended for a receiver well downfield (not Orr’s assignment). Holy cow. That even ended the two-minute for the second team. (2s on 2s)

Johnny Hekker says both long snappers are getting about even reps - both throwing great snaps, he adds. Preseason will obviously be important.

Rams being cautious about an ankle issue for SJD, per McVay. Adds Terrell Lewis’ knee is “acting up” so they will take a closer look at that situation.

Are the Rams really about to switch centers - again? Like many things in football, and especially when it comes to this situation, my sense is that a lot of variables may be true at the same time.
