I think the line will be solid this year. That includes having faith in the following: Whit will hold up, NB is a decent back-up (though I am not sure if he warrants an extension for starter's money), Corbett will be just fine at center (that's a hunch based on his leadership qualities), Hav will be like his 2020 self (which will do), and whether or not Evans works out at guard it does look like they have options behind him. Edwards will be like he was in 2020 if not a bit better with experience.
But I don't think it will be a top 10 OL. I think it will be pretty solid, probably under top 10 level level but a bit more than just plain ordinary/average.
Like everyone else I know next to nothing about their new OL coach. He is the first guy the Rams have had for a looooong time who is a first time NFL offensive line coach. Most of them up to now have been established veterans. But, Carberry does not have to build an OL--he is working with what he inherited. So there's no reason right now to think he will be a problem (there's probably no reason
at all to think that but being a newbie means it will take a while to find out just
how good he is.)
So anyway, solid. I think "ranked 8th" is a little bit too high. PFF OL rankings are funny--sometimes I wonder what they are looking at or how they're grading players. At one point in 2020 (if I remember right) they ranked the Rams OL as 3rd, and that was just not a top 3 OL (though overall it was fairly solid). So I don't know about that ranking, it seems a bit too high based on what we've seen so far.
