Lawrence Phillips??? Ryan Leaf??? I have NEVER understood the usefulness of the entire Combine. Tony Mandarich could bench press a SUV but could not block me. Our OL guy, Robinson, out of Auburn was supposed to be a beast. Yeah right!!! People laughed at Tom Brady during his Combine workout.
I say.....DUMP the USELESS Combine all together and use the new USFL as the evaluator.
I think it's because some place too much emphasis on the measurables. The combine results must serve some function for people who really know what they're doing. And I'm pretty sure they aren't using the information as an end-all.
