Patriots got Randy Moss for a 4th in 2007.

So why should Julio cost any team anywhere near a 1st?

Because Moss was flailing at the time they traded for him and already had a rep as a diva and whiner. In Oakland, he had only 11 TDs in 2 years, and had nagging injuries in 2006--a season where he ended up with 553 yards on 42 receptions in 13 games. He bad mouthed Oakland and they were glad to get rid of him. Many believed that only a Bellichick could make him be productive and less of a spoiled poster child for himself.

Jones has none of those issues. Though it remains to be seen if they get a 1st round pick for him. If Faulk could be traded for a 2nd, it's possible (though I don't know how likely) that they don't get a 1st for Jones.

The Van Jefferson pick just gets more frustrating by the day.
