My immediate thought is.... McVay is not drawn to Belichick because "he's a fun guy", necessarily, at least not "fun" in the way most people think of "fun". What's fun for McVay is to WIN football games and Belichick is one of the winningest coaches in NFL history. So I think McVay is drawn to Belichick because it's fun for him to pick up on anything from Belichick which can help him do the same thing. It's fun for him to learn from the best.
