Sorry, but it isn't ridiculous at all. Mahommes is arguably the best QB in the league right now and had he and his o-line not been decimated with injuries, that SB would have been far different. Nothing against Brady, who is doing unprecedented things at his age but he isn't playing the best of any QB in the league. Just look at the same SB for reference. Brady didn't play all that well, his team just happened to win.
Granted, Mahommes still has room to grow as a QB as he can't rely solely on his arm to terrorize defenses. But when he's healthy, I don't think anyone strikes fear into the opposition like he does.
I think Mahomes is often careless with the football. I heard Warren Moon say, during an interview, that he thinks Mahomes needs to learn to be more patient.
I don't think the numbers support that idea. Mahommes had 5 INT last year and only 6 INT this year. Led the league in lowest Int% while putting up 38 TD. He couples dynamic production with very few turnovers. His first 3 years as a starter are unmatched. And, he's only 25 and presumably going to get better.
Rodgers had a better year last year but Mahommes is still clearly in the "best" conversation. Certainly isn't ridiculous to put him in that category. Look at it this way, he had a "down" year and put up 38/6 and a 108 rating.
