Their OL is in a strange kind of situation. I've been trying to understand it from their perspective. It's strange because they would have to choose between cutting some depth that they like which they've been developing for a few years or foregoing bringing in new talent to develop. Obviously, they chose the latter. I'm not sure it's the right choice but I get it.

Let's assume they are actually telling the truth and they genuinely have 11 guys that they like. If you bring in a Humphrey or Meinerz who do you cut? They would be forced to cut one or two of the 11 who they like. And if that Humphrey or Meinerz is going to redshirt, is that a wise use of resources? OTOH, if you don't bring in new talent, you risk all that depth being depleted in one year when you have 5 free agents. It's a bit of a conundrum.
