For those with long memories this draft reminds a bit of 2000. Ignoring the essential physical needs of the team for speed (and slight of frame) and then drafting physical traits as opposed to football skills in Shepherd.

Martz was undone by hubris in the end. Brilliant offensive mind who bloody mindedly refused to do the core things as he was “a genius.”

Do hope Mcvay won’t follow this path. They went into this draft believing that their starting roster was set so they could draft for development. That worries me.
