1. Demby is a non-factor.
2. Boom is weak and gets pushed around plus is a FA this offseason.
3. To say there is a LT of the future stretches their reliability at best.
4. The Center possibilities are iffy at best.
Now they have 11 guys. So subtract Demby and it's 10. Maybe they plan on keeping only 9 and that's the problem. If they were to draft a center it means someone's gone in that scenario, two cuts to get to 9 and one of them is probably Allen.
Corbs' spot is secure. So reading between the lines it seems to me that they like Allen and want to give him a chance, at the very least don't want to be in a situation where he's a likely cut. I think that is crazy. But they could be right.
What it looks like to me is that they put off LT and will need to draft a couple OL next offseason.
