I'm sure the Rams have a list of players that would be there at #57.
Trading down requires the idea that, when your time comes to pick, and ALL PLAYERS LEFT on that list are "equal", then trade down.
If at #57, there's a player that has greater value than ANY OF THOSE PLAYERS ON THAT LIST, basically a stud falls to you, then you make the selection.
