I am a Bama Alum and while excited for the Rams to get him, there is that running joke of Saban being a vampire that sucks the vitality out of 3-4 year starters. I know Jones and Dickerson are two different individuals but the similarities have me more than a little hesitant. I want OC addressed early in the draft or FA but Dickerson makes me nervous.
Boudreau was notoriously bad at judging OL draft picks. He's the one who beat the drum for Robinson, for example. Boudreau was always better at coaching up cast-off young veterans than at find OL in the draft. Under Boudreau, starting in 2012, the Rams drafted 9 linemen in 5 years and only 1 of them really worked out (Hav). (J.Brown bounced from team to team and last heard of, was cut by the Eagles for a rules violation after being on their practice squad.) Jones was never viewed as a top prospect in the way the some OCs every draft year are. Though to be fair, he did have injury issues.
