I do agree that "C" is on my MOCK DRAFT shopping list, but not at #57. And not Meinerz, a D3 player.
First, the DIV 3 knock is a poor one. Either the guy can play at the NFL level or he can’t. Doesn’t really matter where he played his college ball.
He more than held his own at Senior Bowl practices against elite DIV I players and many pundits are projecting him to be gone by 57, anyway.
Second, I’m not necessarily advocating him as our pick at 57. I’m merely sharing articles that I feel might be of interest as we approach the draft. So please don’t shoot the messenger.
Third, I am personally of the opinion that the Rams are sold on one of 3 players already on their roster to be their starter at Center this year. So I now doubt that a C is drafted until at least the midrounds.
