I do not think any member here can come up with a real legit con to considering Corbett as a starting center. He has started @ RT/RG/LG in the NFL since arriving one pick from being a first-round selection.
Corbett was moved from LG to make rook for Noteboom to start @ LG. Corbett took up the new assignment had very few issues in fact he had an outstanding first half-season starting in a new OL position. Corbett is on his way to being a medical doctor so he might have a few extra brain cells looking for a challenge.
The biggest #1 element flashing in bright blue lights in this discussion is Corbett is the most experienced OL'er that Rams have to be considered in this center equation 40 NFL gms with 26 starts. In college, Corbett was a starting LT for 4 seasons & played about 10 pounds heavier then. Another thing he does have large hands that can help @ center in grasping that football & those big NT's. This guy has also been able to remain injury-free.
As for the starting post @ RG........Carberry has a number of RG's under contract in David Edwards, Bobby Evans, Chandler Brewer & Tremayne Anchrum & even the most hated & despised Brian Allen was a very good starting OG in his sophomore & junior seasons. If you can count that five options. So where are the cons to this idea?
