Sign one of the dwindling 2nd tier vets left? Not an upgrade over Blythe.
Sign vet and still draft a C high? Hope the kid can take over by midseason?
Don’t sign a vet and just go for broke with a drafted rookie?
All have advantages and disadvantages. My guess is that they will now sign an inexpensive vet but also draft a C by pick 88. Then let them have a camp battle and let best man start.
As an aside, I think they missed a golden opportunity with Linsley. But that ship has sailed.
