OK hear me out, I know he faded as the season went along. However it was his first full season in ages he probably hit the wall. The Cowboys defense was epically bad so that has to be discouraging. When we played them to start the year he was a monster. I am not for paying him anything substantial but I think he might be the ultimate low risk high reward player. Some players can't carry a team but in the right situations add a lot to it. On a very good defense, with strong leaders on it, to keep Smith focused, he could be epic opposite Floyd. Smith, Floyd and Lewis might give us three possibly elite pass rushers. Fowler and Floyd had their best seasons ever next to AD, if Aldon could do the same and match or exceed the player he was ages ago we could have a Bob Quinn type monster. Like I said the ultimate low risk (can't cost much) high reward type gamble. I would sign him to a two year deal though so he can't cash in and bolt after one year though. I know he has had issues with the league but I don't think he had any last year. The Rams defense have a strong locker room so I have less worries about taking him on now than I would have say two years ago.
