Most of us think the Rams Oline needs to improve at Center. I'm not sure that Snead and McVay think so. Would they like to have a dominant Center? What team wouldn't? But you can't have a great player, or even a B + or B player, at every position. You have to weigh needs versus want. Many of us think they NEED a better Center. Snead and McVay may WANT a different Center but seem to have decided they can make do with Blythe if need be.

And especially in FA, you have to be careful not to spend big bucks to move from a C+ to a B player. Naturally, available dollars and allocation of cap money to any given position plays roles as well. So it is complicated and merely shouting from the hilltops that we simply MUST have a better Center is a bit too simplistic.

Who knows if they'll get Blythe back, or weigh him against a declining vet like Mack. It will surely come down to a balance of cost versus hoped-for performance and function within a system. They may even have to use their 57th pick on a center that they grade lower, but have little choice...... and then cross their fingers. No doubt they want to avoid that scenario.
We'll know pretty soon.

That might be how you and I see it, but I don't think the Rams do
