Dante Fowler had 10 sacks with us his first year there and they franchise tag them instead of giving him a long-term deal. The next season he had like 14 sacks and they decided to let him walk. He got about the same deal that Leonard Floyd got this year from us. So why didn't the Rams want to pay Fowler but they paid Leonard Floyd? My guess is that Floyd is much more versatile, like how he plays well against the run, and that he's a much better leader for this team. I think the Ramses knew they couldn't let him walk unlike a lot of our other free agents of the past.
