What do we know about Carberry?

My view as a Cal fan watching Stanfurd over the last 15 years is that they have aways had a lot of OL talent but it's been a steady decline since Harbaugh left for the NFL under Coach Shaw.

They OL was feared 10 years ago and hasn't been that great of late. Did Carberry turn it around? What makes him an exciting hire?
