The first Super Bowl win against the Rams was filmed. I’ll Marshall Faulk’s word, and Kurt Warner’s former word, over a hometown paper, the Boston Globe, making a retraction that the Patriots were caught filling back then.

In 2003 against Eagles, Philly DC, Jim Johnson states and is quoted that he could tell the Patriots knew what his defensive calls were before the ball was snapped.

And then 2006 you have Eric Mangini, former Patriots offensive coach, having NFL security bust the Patriots illegally taping the Jets’ sidelines.

There’s also Ted Johnson, former Patriot LB, who stated they were given hand out before games that had information which had been acquired by illegal filing teams. Johnson goes way back to the early 2000s.

And the penalty the league slapped on the Patriots looks like it did nothing to stop the cheating. There were deflate gate and then in 2019 the Patriots were again illegally caught filming the Bengals’ sidelines in Cincinnati.

And an important rule change after spygate was having the captain of the defense being given audio devices in their helmets so the DCs could radio in the defenses instead of signaling the defensive formations et al from the sidelines.
