Did have an MVP-worthy season before he got hurt (against us, I believe).
Goff has never achieved that status. So, even though he has now had a couple of bad seasons, his ceiling is still viewed (IMO) higher than Goff’s.
People will continue to label him a “system QB,” fairly or unfairly.
