Snead/McVay are going to get the reputation of being fickle, capricious, and ultimately unstable. This is on Snead/McVay. They choose who they want to sign, then act like it is someone else's fault when it doesn't work out.
If Goff was so bad, why did Snead/McVay decide to sign Goff to a big contract extension in Sept. 2019? Now they want to cut bait just two years later?
Just like they did with Brandon Cooks. Just like they did with Todd Gurley. They sign a player to a large contract extension. Then, ALMOST IMMEDIATELY, they turn on them and get rid of them.
If you sign a guy to big money then immediately have to get rid of them, then you chose poorly. The Rams have suffered due to these poor decisions.
$30 million in dead money this past season. A season with the #1 defense. A season in which a couple more pieces on offense and who knows how far they could have gone in the playoffs.
