The issue is not the the Rams want Goff gone.
The issue is how to do it. And even more, what do they want for a QB for the future.
My son and I were talking today that it is curious that the 2 back up QBs on the Rams roster are running/scrambling/mobile QBs however one chooses to describe it. Neither are drop back passers.
We think McVay envisions a Mini-Me at QB, so that is a running/scrambling QB that can absolutely be used as part of the running game similar to Lamar Jackson. Perhaps Russ Wilson.
But....... if that is the case, then it means a new QB about every 4 years because that'll be the useful lifespan of a QB who is as much RB as QB.
However, if he just wants someone better than Goff, and wants an experienced guy, then I think Stafford could happen in a trade with the Lions.
