These coaches aren't chopped liver, they're coaching successful teams in the conference championships. Kind of puts all the McVay questioning into perspective. Some of it is deserved at times, but even the best coaches don't alway make the best choices. Remember Bellicheck going for it on 4th down against Manning and the Colts in the colts SB year? And what was his record with the Browns?

Shanahan's play calling the 2nd half of the Falcons SB. Now he's revered as a coaching genius by some on this board. He's not perfect as we've seen.

How many years did Andy Reid NOT make it to the Super Bowl with the Eagles and Chiefs?

Are there bad coaches in the league - of course. (See Adam Gase). But there are some really good coaches and McVay is one of them. Sometimes it comes down to a play being made or not being made, a bad officiating call, a strange bounce. It's, as Berman used to say, why they play the games.
