LT Fisher is out with torn achilles.
Mahomes is now down his starting LT, LG, RG, and RT.
He will go against a strong Bucs defense with a bunch of backups in a patchwork OL.
My money is on Mahomes.
This will be an interesting test case for the theory that no QB can do well playing behind a patchwork, injury-prone OL. That Bucs D is good and can get pressure.
Except again mr. always misrepresenting, no one ever said the position you just named.
It is said as "with very rare exceptions"...and I routinely toss in Brady (see 2015 when they had extensive OL injuries) and Wilson (see 2017 when in addition to always having weak OLs injuries hit them especially hard).
This "misrepresenting the sides I debate" thing is getting very old. Or, older.
There are exceptions, and it remains to be seen if Mahomes can be one. I do know that in 2018 one of the reasons the Rams beat the Chiefs is that the Rams pass rush got to him. In the final minutes he was throwing INTs because of that. But he's more experienced now. So it's an open question. But I would not say that of most qbs. Tampa got to Rodgers for example--that was evident.
But I also say that it eventually caught up with both Brady and Wilson. But that wouldn't apply in this case because it is possible to tough out one game like that--it's not like Mahomes has to go through an entire season with that line the way Wilson and Brady did. Or the way Goff, Ryan, and Rivers did in 2019.
