I’ve read nothing but good things said about Pleasant.
Two things.
Maybe McVay finds Pleasant a good choice but simply sees others as even a little bit better?
I suspect that McVay has a short list of top candidates already in place in the event that ANY of his assistants get promoted. I mean, he hired TWO Coordinators by the Thursday following Staley’s departure and Bonamego’s’ ‘promotion’. Didn’t need a lot of interviews, either. Not sure he even interviewed anybody else other than Morris for that DC position. This shouts to me that McVay already had his plan in place. Pretty darned smart, don’t you think?
