The most overrated #1 Defense in the modern day era.

Sad but true.
The 2020 Los Angeles Rams had the most overrated #1 Defense in today's modern day era.
I bought in and I'm guilty saying many times I hope McVay and Goff don't crap away the #1 rated defense because you don't get this type of SB winning type of defense more than once during an NFL coaching career.
The Rams defense was overrated in 2020 and it was not the best as their statistics showed in the regular season.
Their stats were inflated by 4 games vs the NFC East along with their favorable matchups vs the NFC West vs teams that they have always dominated.
Add that up and you get 8 games against teams that inflate the statistics. I was naïve to believe they were as good as their regular season stats finished up.
The loss against the Packers was a case of the better team won. The Rams defense was not as good as advertised and the Packers won this game fair and square.
Matt LaFleur out coached McVay the same way Kyle Shanahan did 2 times in 2020.
McVay is still a golden gem but he's got a long way to go before we can crown him as extra special.
On to next year and hoping McVay and Snead are able to reload this team again with all of their salary cap problems.
