I think the point is they don't need to do both. Approve the pass protection and you have a very good qb that can take you to the SB, as before. If you choose to spend your money elsewhere go find a mobile qb-although I'm not sure the latter is doable. I've said this many times before. I once heard Sid Gillman, a HOF coach, that you establish a good to great NFL team you BEGIN with building an all star O line that will protect your qb. Next you work for a good defensive secondary. It doesn't look to me like the Rams believe in what the great Gillman argued.
