Last year the XFL started up right after the Super Bowl so some kinda football was continuing on for another 8 weeks or so.
The games were really fun to watch and the St Louis Battlehawks AND their growing fan base were exactly what the XFL was hoping for. And then... coronavirus came along and absolutely oppressed the league into bankruptcy. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his business partner bought the XFL and it's supposed to re-appear in 2022 but that's not going to help me get through the 2021 offseason. There are some other start-up football leagues trying to get off the ground but I'm pretty sure they won't last.
I guess I'll just wait for Major League Baseball. The first-pitch of the season for the St Louis Cardinals is April 8.
