I think Akers just wasn't feeling it. He's wired himself to read inside out for the run plays and he wasn't really seeing anything. I think after the first one where he didn't look right I would have shelved that play unless I lose 2x QBs.
But again not gonna get all on McVay here other than to say I bet he wishes he had drawn up more plays to try to get him the ball in space. Akers is an assassin if he gets the slightest crease I love that dude man.
