Yeah, 1 and done in the playoffs can be a hard pill to swallow but any sane person realizes a huge part of them being 12-4 and, honestly, overachieving this year was Russel Wilson. Can you imagine him with the running game and defense he used to have but now with two stud receivers? I guess it's the beauty of football that a team can usually never have it all and something has to be sacrificed to get something else. But Wilson clearly isn't the problem there.
As Rams fans, I think we have a better appreciation for what Wilson did this year since we're talking about a borderline MVP season by Wilson in a Brian Schottenheimer offense! I mean, that's really saying something IMO.
I would be right there criticizing posters if Goff was producing at the same level and still being blamed for the team's shortcomings. Sadly, Goff actually has been a part of the problem for the Rams though. He's inconsistent, hasn't produced a whole lot, has turned the ball over and looks like he's just not comfortable a lot of the time.
Hopefully that all becomes the old Goff starting Saturday.
