I'm not sure it's ready for this weekend either. He gutted it out, came in and made a few throws - including one where Cupp bailed him out big time. He didn't turn it over, which is a plus. Other than that it was very clear some of his passes were way off - floating, shot-putting - just plain ugly. Supposedly they saw that at practice - every 4th throw or so came out weird.
It's not personal against Goff, it's just that it's very difficult to grip a football properly with a damaged thumb. And has any QB ever, ever come back so soon from this injury? Could take several weeks to be 100%. Maybe he should try wearing a glove like Warner did.
This week the QB will have to be better than just - not too bad - to beat the Packers. Our defense is very good, yes, but we're not playing against Shotty's middle school offense. Rams will have to score at least 28-30 points to have any chance of winning.
Let week our offense scored 23 points. Not bad, but maybe not enough to take down the Pack
