The 1979 team struggled MOST of the season in a much weaker NFC West that year. Had several injuries. BUT....Beat Dallas...AT DALLAS....went on to beat the media darling Bucs and then were less than a qtr away from beating the Dynasty of the 70s. When that was over, I hurt like hell but was so proud. NONE of the early speed bumps of 1979 have ever dampened what was a HELLUVA late run. I bet you felt the same then and will again WHEN....................
The 2020 Rams who, like 1979, struggled a good chunk of the season, had KEY injuries and closely made the Playoffs. Say we beat Seattle........NOBODY will say we can win AT the mighty Lambeau (Sounds like Texas Stadium in 1979, eh?) Then we do??? Then say it's us vs the UPSTART Bucs and BRADY (What a media sensation!!! Tampa 1979???) THEN...,. We go toe to toe or lose a painful one to the MACHINE known as the Chiefs?? I bet ALL of us will forget days like the one in Miami or Goff's pick in Seattle.
