but will we.
Playing our best against their best, I think we win the game.
But if Jared GOOF shows up, and he has shown up in multiple games this year, we lose. And it might not even be close.
Wooly Mammoth is the biggest wild card. If he plays, it becomes very hard to call. I will say that Petey boy spent a lot of time watching tape on Wooly and the Hawks will have a plan for him. I suspect if he plays we lose.
BUT! - OTOH!
We have seen what the Rams are under Goff this year. I would say games where he was a net asset were outnumbered by the games where he was a liability, and the chances of us winning 4 straight against playoff caliber teams with 2020 Goff running the show are surpassingly small.
This defense is plenty good enough to win us a championship.
Despite what I said above, I think we have a better chance of going all the way by playing Wooly than we do by playing Goff. Warner pulled it off as a backup in 99, albeit with a lot more regular season playing time. Foles did it a few years back as a backup. So it is not impossible that the SB could be won by a backup, particularly one who can create with his legs. One with this little starting experience, maybe not. But we have a championship level defense. And maybe we catch lightning in a bottle. Stranger things have happened.
If I were the Rams, I think I would decide Jared's hand was still an issue and ride with Wooly. Goff may give us the best chance to win this game, but Wooly gives us the best (still slim) chance to win it all.
