Some random thoughts on Wolford starting by Merlin...

Some random thoughts for this offense IF Wolford goes vs Seattle:

TEs better be prepared to catch the ball. Goff reads past guys like Everett and even Higs if there's a DB on them but Wolford will put the ball up to them. It's a basic aggression in play style. Everett got exposed pretty badly in that last game but going to say maybe his pride is hurt and he'll be ready this next game who knows. Also Higs. He had a good game last Sunday but he's gonna get a ton of action if Wolford is in there, as he uses the big guys as his dumpoff option.

Wolford needs to quit leading with the head when he scrambles. He's feeling his oats and playing with his balls out and all that I get it. But one hit is all it takes just one to induce a concussion and end that particular feel good story. He suffered multiple vicious hits over the course of that game and if that continues he wouldn't finish the playoffs even if the Rams gave him the job. There's times for it. That last third down for example. But through the game he needs a little more self conservation IMO.

Jefferson didn't start particularly well. That pass he acted like was out of his range early on was him hearing footsteps. Well maybe seeing footsteps is a better description lol. And he's probably not ever going to be the guy who takes hits across the middle but with Kupp back Jefferson will be focused on his strength which will be outs and curls and quick sideline passes to get easy yards.

Lastly if Whit comes back and settles this line down what we could be seeing is a perfect storm for the Rams. Because we'd have the run game going which changes everything. The QB of course benefits greatly too. And it's gonna come down to our merry band of JAGs (Everett, Reynolds, etc) to help Woody and Kupp get it done in the passing game. If those things happen I really like our chances dudes even if we have a backup out there.
