As you noted he's too timid. He's a careful guy and that will hold back his production a little but it will also keep him healthy or gives him a better chance to avoid injuries.

IMO the guy they should be putting out there right now, starting over Everett (who is another guy who can't adjust to the ball in the air btw) in order to give our QB a threat across the middle, is our rookie TE Hopkins. Just as a pure receiver the guy is big and aggressive. He was advanced in that way and why the Rams had him so high.

I know his blocking sucks. Or at least that it won't be great. But right now in certain situations I'd give that up for explosive potential across the middle.
