If we used 64.7 QBR as a baseline, Goff has been under that 9 games this year. Only 6 above that. He's had 3 games at 20 or under.
In 2019, he had 11 games under that QBR baseline. So basically, Goff's normal is under that QBR baseline.
And Wolford did this in year 1, game 1 of this offense. What would he do in year 5?
If you want to use stats to prop up Goff, you should find a different one.

That said, if we were looking at QBR rating, it still favors Wolford.
QBR is a more comprehensive measure of QB performance and takes into account a QBs running plays among other things. QB rating doesn't factor that stuff in. And since Wolford was the team's leading rusher and clearly added an element to the offense, QBR is the metric that most closely reflects his contribution.
He had a QBR of 74.7. An average quarterback will have a QBR around 50, and a Pro Bowl-level player will have a QBR around 75 for the season.
A QBR of 75 means that holding all other factors constant (defense, offensive teammates, etc.), a quarterbackâs team would be expected to win about 75 percent of the time, given that level of QB play.
So 74.7 is pretty good in game 1, year 1.
Goff has had 5 games this year with a QBR of 74.7 or greater. Those games: Arizona (W 38-28), TB (W 27-24), Washington (W 30-10), Buffalo (L 35-32), Philly (W 37-19).
Goff had 3 games last year with a QBR greater than 74.7.
Overall, given the number of points left on the board by teammates - two false starts on 1st & 1 at the goaline, Akers' fumble, Everett's drop in the endzone on a perfect pass - I'd say Wolford played every bit as well as Goff has been playing this year. And his QBR reflects that.
