Until the issues with Goff are addressed why the need to take the top off a defense? Why get a burner if the guy is just throwing the ball no more than 15 yards? Just getting a guy doesn't mean a thing, the issue is Goff and his odd loss of an arm and timing.
I don't think a team is going to be really addressing a long ball threat if the guy throwing it can't do it on a consistent basis. Right now he can't even do that with intermediate passes.
IMO you can't look back at what Goff did in 2017 and 18 any more than you reflecting back to what TGIII did, he's no where near that level either, well I guess you can, but it is totally irrelevant, that bus has left the station.
