Is that the Packers win in the a.m. and we can afford to keep Goff on the bench even if he can go and likely Wolford will get most of the snaps in practice this week anyway.
THEN, it allows us to get a look at a different QB and also knowing we are in and can play Goff in the playoffs if he is good to go.
But of course wondering what another QB with some mobility can do in our dink and dunk system. I think it would favor a case keenum/jeff garcia type (someone mentioned garcia, i like the analogy after watching highlights) over a peyton manning/Goff type.
Lots of short passes and add in some RPO's wrinkles so we actually convert that 1st and goal from the 1.
I'm sure we will miss Goffs darts on those 15 yard routes, but perhaps is a trade off with some with more touch and mobility ala russel wilson.
And if it turns out to be a @#$%& show, hopefully the Packers win and it won't really matter and Goff hopefully will be ready tp go in the playoffs.
