I don't understand the tiebreaker

If the Rams, Cards and Bears were to finish 9-7, then the Rams would be 2-1, the Cards 1-1 and the Bears 0-1. That wouldn't count because the Bears and Cards never played each other. But that's not fair. If the Rams and Bears were reversed in this scenario I wouldn't feel like my team deserved to get in over the team that beat us 24-10. Rams should get the first nod, then the Bears and Cards settle it some other way.

Some day this will be changed, just like all the other stupid crap the NFL has done in its playoffs. The 15-0 Dolphins had to play at Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship game in 72. And the 12-2 Rams had to play at Dallas, a team they had beaten, in 1973.
