I note your focus on the skill players. One of the greatest NFL coaches ever -Sid Gillman-said this: If you want to build a winner in professional football 1) you BEGIN with the O line. 2) Your next focus is on the defensive secondary. 3) Defensive line 4) kickers 5) qb and then make sure you get some good blocking backs and finally receivers. The Rams for the last several years have not focused on # 1.
You give Goff a running game (i.e. O line) and protection and he will be a top 5 qb. You put someone like Darnold on this team and he is no better and likely worse. I've seen Darnold -both at USC and in the NFL.
And about the O line: In both pass protection and a running game we really miss 1) Saffold and 2) Whitworth. Don't understand the failure to address the most important part of a winning NFL team.
