I don't know about that comparison but I do question just how "once in a generation" Lawrence is. I don't see him making what I consider to be NFL throws. But, he has the size and tangibles that NFL teams love so who knows? Ultimately, the NFL isn't what it used to be and you can plug in a lot of different types of QB's and have success. Especially athletic ones.
But I don't see all that much difference between Lawrence and Darnold as college prospects. IMO, Darnold has been Tannehill'd. Put on a lousy team with lousy coaching and players and expected to be a savior. Lawrence will do no better if all else remains the same for the Jets.
