Are you implying that the Steelers and Rams intentionally lost games?
No, but I don't put it past the NFL to "influence" games. Look at the ticky-tack calls that went against us to take TD's off the board. The NFL can't have fans thinking a team is intentionally tanking games so, low and behold, the Jets beat the Rams as 17 point underdogs.
At the end of the day, this is about ratings and advertising, not sport. Look at the spot that miraculously got slid in TB's favor the other day. The NFL most likely wants Brady in the playoffs and just one little nudge by he officials at the right time is the difference between winning or losing. It doesn't take much at all to influence a game and I think the NFL does it regularly.
