In the Super Bowl, the Pats reshaped their approach and it worked because the Rams didn't reshape theirs. McVay simply focused on ways to beat the defense he studied with the same offense he ran all year.
This is precisely why I'm repeating myself ad nauseam about retooling the running game with powers and traps STARTING with this game. They did some earlier in the year so it's not like they have no reps with it. Unfortunately, on a short week, not getting several live reps with it may make my suggestion less plausible.
