Listening to McVay it is hard to come away with not thinking that he views Goff as the single biggest failing on the team.
He makes it clear that the most important position is the QB and Goff is turning the ball over too many times for the Rams to win. McVay just about comes out and says Goff is the single biggest problem related to the turnover issue that is causing the losses.
I get that McVay is saying stuff like he knows Goff can handle the criticism and has it in him to fix it, but the bottom line is Goff has to show results immediately or McVay is gonna pull the plug on him in some manner. It will be interesting to see how McVay game plans the next few games. Does he take the ball out of Goff's hands to a degree and rely more on the defense and running game? And how does this all shake out long term? Stay tuned.
