I'll admit, I'm far more drawn to old Rams games on YouTube than to the current NFL. Since discovering FFL, I'm guilty of following that format more than any one team or especially watching one whole game.
And every clip I watch James Harris from the 1974 season, he looked terrific... a real kick-start to the offense that had sagged behind the over-the-hill John Hadl at QB. I remember that he might've even been the Pro Bowl MVP at the end of that season. But I know that in time for the Rams' 1975 playoff win over my old St. Louis Cardinals, Harris had been supplanted by Ron Jaworski.
So, what had gone south for Harris by that time?
Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving to all Rams fans!

He wasn't Rosenbloom's idea of the face of the franchise.

It really isn't much more than that.
