There is definitely been some positive aspects to Goff's game and some bad to go along with it. I feel talent wise Goff is up there with all the ram greats and possibly the most gifted arm talent. The area he struggles with is the comprehension and execution of this offense. It's been stated so many times and is clearly evidenced by the total lack of time management and misuse of timeouts. Now I feel this is a shared blame with mcvay. Whether mcvay is a control freak and can't let Goff just go out and run this offense or that he feels he needs to spoon-feed him is a bad thing anyway you look at it. We are all hoping for a brady, rodgers, wilson, brees, manning type of mastery of the system by now and it just isn't there yet. When you look at all the stats everyone posts he should be there and just isn't yet. We all thought after the KC game we finally had it but it hasn't really shown up since that game over two years ago. I'm optimistic to a point on goff's development but I'm also realistic that we have a very talented qb with some issues that may never change.
