He has multiple rib fractures on both sides of his chest and a collapsed lung. They think a couple of the fractures actually happened during their game against the Bucs last week but the fractures didn't show up on the X-ray taken after the injury. They DiD show up on the CT scan today. Also Brees had a shoulder injury at the time so he thought the discomfort he was experiencing was due to that. They're saying his "most optimistic" recovery time would be 2-3 weeks but of corse healing time varies for each patient.
