The NFL is seriously considering a 16-game playoff this year, depending at least in part on how many regular season games will need to be canceled because of pandemic problems. What this means for the Rams is that, even in the worst case scenario where they end up 8-8, they will most likely be in the playoffs and in a position to peak at just the right time.
